Dearest Readers,
Thank you for being part of my journey of devotion to Life. I’ve recently settled back in Boulder, Colorado after spending the last six months on a planetary walk about in service to discovering my sovereign relationship to my own Creatorship.
This journey brought me to an all-win political discourse hub in Topanga, CA, a mystical civic innovation house in the Bay Area, a bustling solarpunk art week in Mexico City, a remote regenerative island community in British Colombia, an Independent political convention in Austin, TX, and a spiritual web3 gathering on the island of Bali.
Throughout this journey, I have been a witness to the Golden Seed of planetary awakening that has been planted in the hearts of people from all walks of life, across the boundaries of nation states, watersheds, and bioregions. This seed contains a blueprint of a life-affirming civilization, and it is through the tending of this seed that a new world will germinate and grow. It no longer surprises me to discover this seed all over the world, but I still find it remarkable that Gaia’s intelligence so exquisitely activates human beings in service to Life, reaching into the experience of each person to activate a perfectly designed sequence of organic epiphanies that have led so many of us to the same questions and answers.
In my own journey of activating this seed, I have come to realize that one of the core callings of my Life is to articulate and embody Life Culture.
The purpose of Life Culture is to distill a pattern of embodied relationship & behavior whose emergent function is More Life for the people & ecologies within which they’re embedded. The derivation of these patterns is iterative, experimental, and relational, emerging from the substrate of right relationship with Living Systems and human ecologies of relationship over time.
As a metamodern culture coder, I hold no hegemonic impulse to define a new dominant monoculture. Because these patterns emerge from natural law, they are contextual & alive and don’t need to be enforced by human mechanisms of domination and control. Rather, they are self-evident based on their positive effects on the direct lived experiences of those who practice them.
This could also be called The Human Project, a subset of The Life Project, because it is an ongoing evolutionary process of Life coalescing into further degrees of harmonic complexity, a journey we are honored to be participants and agents within.
The creation and re-creation of human culture at this time between worlds is one of the foremost cosmic blessings and honors that souls can experience, making incarnation at this stage in the Human Project one of the most esteemed Universal privileges and responsibilities.
The choices we make now and the culture we encode in this liminal phase of cosmic evolution are highly consequential and infused with profound meaning and purpose. We stand at the precipice of a new world, a world defined by right relationship with all Life.
Crossing this threshold, karmas are resolved and humanity becomes a Tier 2 species, aware of itself as a steward of Life itself and a protector of the unbroken chain of blessings that make the continuity of Life possible. Herein lies the Great Dharma of our generation.
In Life Culture, family is described as the union of individuals for an evolutionary purpose, bound by love’s gravity as a structural expression of mutual devotion to Life. I’m deeply interested in the re-definition of kinship and family in the context of re-indigenizing ourselves at the most fundamental level. Family and kinship seem to be the fundamental units of human relationship in which Life Culture is first practiced. My essay on Sovereign Unity explores this topic in greater depth with an historical lens on the emergence of patriarchy and the nuclear family as an expression of the colonized mind.
I will likely spend the rest of my Life undertaking this dharmic project of Life Culture, but I feel the coming weeks and months are going to be profoundly significant as I write and create what feel like foundational texts and offerings for this emerging body of work.
Here are some of the essays and projects I’m currently working on that you’ll be able to read very soon:
The Evolutionary Path of Sovereign Unity: Moving Towards The Kinship of Life Culture
This essay explores the structure of intimate kinship relationships that I feel are essential as we deconstruct patriarchy and create life-affirming bonds of family that support the raising of children and healthy communities.
Water Woman and The Ground of Being: Who We Are And Why We’re Here
This essay emerged from a profound ceremonial experience in which I faced the core existential wound of colonization and was blessed to receive a direct transmission of an ontological foundation for Life Culture that is based on the unconditional Gift of Water. This work tells the story of my personal journey to heal the wounds of colonization within myself and the lessons I’ve learned about how to engage with the world as a living prayer.
Remembrance: Restoring The Great Hoop
This essay is a call to Action for large scale initiatory rituals that provide a living embodiment of right relationship and offer a canvas for the enactment of Life Culture at scale. Based on the elemental root geometry of the four directions and four elements, these initiations are designed to help us re-member the human family as one body, remember who we truly are as stewards of Life, and remember the lost ways of being that supported our ancestors in living in right relationship.
Golden Seed Tea House
This project invokes a planetary tea house outside of time in which souls meet to form sacred agreements around the shared purposes of their incarnation. This planetary grid of ephemeral tea houses support individuals in more deeply discovering their personal dharma as well as the golden tapestry that connects each of our soul’s purpose to one another.
Benevolent Culture Collective
In partnership with my dearest dharmic brother, Luke Kohen, I’m co-founding an artist collective of mystics, culture coders, and planetary activists devoted to creating a container of cultural leadership for the emerging Earth spirituality movement.
The Mystery Works
Grounding the emerging Life Culture here in Boulder, The Mystery Works is a spiritual ministry for the embodiment of a life-affirming civilization through our devotional service to Life and each other.
OpenCivics
After months of preparation, governance documentation, and digital network definition, OpenCivics is nearing a formal launch. This project is intended to be a distributed research and development organization for applied systemic change and adaptation.
Please keep an eye out for these essays and projects which will start to be published and shared in the coming week. I’ll be writing and publishing so much more here than I have in the last years, so your support in sharing these posts and considering becoming a patron of my work would be incredibly appreciated.
I look forward to undertaking this great work of Life Culture with all of you.
For The Earth,
Benjamin
YES to all of this coming through you. In support 🙏🏻 and communion with this 🌹
